Implementing Accountability – A Pragmatic Framework

The subject of accountability is increasingly becoming the focus within the global privacy community. This session will explore the fundamental components that make up a privacy programme and that would result in an organisation being accountable. This session will provide a framework to baseline what the organisation is already doing and to plan which measures should be implemented in a privacy programme. The framework in place will also provide guidance on how to mature the privacy programme over time. During the session, participants will gain: understanding of how to implement accountability within an organisation based on the experiences of other global organisations and how it applies to your organisation; tools and templates for implementing an accountability-based approach within an organisation, including a free book on the framework and a recent global study on Implementing accountability; and a clear, concise understanding of how to build accountability through an effective privacy programme and the value of being able to demonstrate accountability.
