Respect for people by design
abstract

Central to CLP’s success has been our firm commitment to a set of business principles and ethics that help drive our company forward. As a responsible utility company in Hong Kong, this includes respect for people and privacy that begins with how we protect data from our customers, staff and move through our relations with investors, business partners and the wider communities. From a business practitioner perspective, we would like to share our journey of redesigning privacy into existing systems across our enterprise, how we engage our staff to increase alertness and vigilance and deploy technology to manage data and guard against data leakages. Using privacy by design approach, we are committed to establishing good governance over data and creating a responsible and secured environment for data management.
