Privacy Commissioner Mr Stephen Wong met with Google's security expert

Privacy Commissioner Mr Stephen Wong met with Google’s security expert for Chrome, Ms Parisa Tabriz, and Head of Policy for Hong Kong and Taiwan, Ms Jo-Fan Yu to exchange views on internet security issues on 6 February 2017. Ms Tabriz gave a presentation on how Chrome provides users with the secure way to use the Internet and makes the Internet safer, and also shared the security tips for browsing on web. Mr Wong welcomed the efforts made by Google, and stated that it is Privacy Commissioner's policy to engage in bilateral dialogues with various stakeholders in the data privacy community with a view to cultivating protection and respect of personal data privacy. Mr Wong also stressed the importance of transparency for companies in gaining trust from customers.
