Seminar on “Good Practices in Privacy Protection in the Use of AI”

Seminar on “Good Practices in Privacy Protection in the Use of AI”

As the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), in particular generative AI (Gen AI), has become increasingly prevalent in Hong Kong, many organisations are exploring ways to use AI-driven technologies to enhance their competitiveness and drive digital transformation.

To assist organisations in using AI while safeguarding personal data privacy, including enhancing AI governance and developing internal policies or guidelines on the use of Gen AI by employees at work, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) is organising this seminar to discuss the privacy risks brought by the prevalence of AI, provide recommendations and best practices from the “Artificial Intelligence: Model Personal Data Protection Framework” regarding governance of AI for the protection of personal data privacy , and introduce the PCPD’s newly published “Checklist on Guidelines for the Use of Generative AI by Employees”. A representative from Huawei is also invited to share the practical experiences in developing and using AI-driven technologies in a privacy-friendly manner, as well as the ways and means to protect personal data privacy while using AI.

Organisations in all sectors and all parties who are interested in the topic are welcome to attend.
