Mobile App Development Forum on Privacy and Security
Personal data privacy should not be seen as a pure compliance burden but instead, a competitive advantage that business can build on. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (“PCPD”) has commenced the Privacy Campaign for Mobile App Development since January 2015 with an aim to promote and supervise compliance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance by stakeholders in the mobile app business.
To conclude the Campaign, the PCPD will be holding a forum which will discuss on the areas that mobile apps developers (and those who commission them) need to pay attention to in order to earn trust from customers by respecting their personal data privacy.
