Award-winning — Privacy Commissioner’s Office Receives Fourth Consecutive Recognition as “Manpower Developer”

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) has been awarded for the fourth time by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) as a “Manpower Developer”. The award serves as a tremendous motivation for the PCPD’s efforts in manpower training and development.

Since 2018, the PCPD has been awarded as a “Manpower Developer” for four consecutive terms, with the current award valid until 31 March 2027.

The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, is delighted to share this honour with her team once again. Ms Chung said, “Given the rapid development of the digital era, I am pleased that my colleagues have relentlessly discharged their duties to give full vigour to the PCPD’s role as an enforcer, facilitator and educator, in order to safeguard the personal data privacy of members of the public. The PCPD will continue to provide different training and development opportunities for its staff members, so that they can better equip themselves to prepare for the new challenges brought by technological advancements.”
