Privacy Commissioner Ms Ada Chung attended the OECD/GPA COVID-19 Virtual Workshop “The road to recovery: Lessons learned and challenges ahead” (16 September 2020)

Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ms Ada Chung attended a virtual workshop organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Global Privacy Assembly (GPA). Titled “The road to recovery: Lessons learned and challenges ahead”, the virtual workshop addressed the data protection and privacy issues raised by COVID-19.

The workshop was an opportunity for data protection authorities, governments, policy makers, academics and other key stakeholders to share lessons learned to date as jurisdictions enter different stages of their respective COVID-19 journeys.  It also served as a forum to discuss how these lessons could help prepare for future data protection and privacy challenges that arise in the road to recovery.
