Deputy Privacy Commissioner Mr Tony Lam delivered a presentation titled "Proposed legislative amendments to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance - Reviewing, Developing and Strengthening Hong Kong’s Personal Data Privacy" at the virtual event "CyberAttack Hong Kong Series 2020". The presentation covered the possible amendments to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, which aimed to address the increasing expectation of individuals on personal data protection, changes in global privacy landscape, the major data breach incidents in Hong Kong and the rapid technological development.
