To Protect Oneself and Others, PCPD to Introduce “Vaccine Bubble” Arrangement

To strengthen the defence against the COVID-19 virus and its mutant strains, and safeguard the health of staff members of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) and members of the public, the PCPD will introduce “vaccine bubble” arrangement with effect from 16 February and will require all staff members to receive at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine before they may enter the PCPD’s premises for work-related purposes.

To protect oneself and others, the PCPD has been encouraging staff members to get vaccinated and providing “vaccination leave”. In accordance with the PCPD’s established policy, staff members who are unfit for vaccination because of medical conditions supported by a valid medical certificate would be subject to regular testing requirements.
