Two PCPD Officers Receive the Ombudsman's Awards
Two officers of the Complaints Division of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), Ms Joanna CHAN Heung-ying, Senior Personal Data Officer, and Mr Terry TANG Ho-yin, Personal Data Officer, received the Awards for Officers of Public Organisations of The Ombudsman’s Awards 2021 for their professionalism and exemplary performance in the handling of complaints.
The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, attended the award presentation ceremony today (4 November) and congratulated the award-winning staff members, “I am honoured that our staff members have once again received the Awards this year. The exemplary performance of the two awardees in serving the public fully demonstrates PCPD’s role as a guardian of personal data. My Office will continue to strive our best to enhance the protection of privacy in relation to personal data.”
With extensive experience in handling complaints, Ms Joanna CHAN leads a team of officers in the handling of complaint cases in a professional, fair and effective manner. She always demonstrates a positive attitude towards the handling of complaints, even those which involve complicated issues. Ms Chan is a role model for her colleagues.
Mr Terry TANG is keen to resolve complaint cases through conciliation between the parties. He aims to resolve disputes fairly and amicably between the parties and always puts himself in the shoes of the parties. Mr Tang always provides practicable solutions to the parties to resolve the complaints.
