The PCPD Provides “Vaccination Leave”
for Staff after COVID-19 Vaccination
in Support of Government's “Early Vaccination for All” Campaign

The Government announced yesterday (31 May) the launch of the “Early Vaccination for All” campaign to further encourage citizens to receive COVID-19 vaccination. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD), supports the campaign and implements the following arrangements from today (1 June) to facilitate its staff to receive COVID-19 vaccination as early as possible and give recognition to those staff members who have already been vaccinated:
  • From today (1 June) until 31 August, all staff members of the PCPD will be entitled to one day of “vaccination leave” for each dose of vaccination received so that they can have sufficient time to take a rest after vaccination;
  • Staff members who were vaccinated on or before 31 May this year may apply, for each dose of vaccination already received, for one day of authorised leave that may be taken by 31 March 2022.
