The PCPD kicked off the roadshow by participating in the 2014/15 Fall/Winter Sheung Wan Promenade, followed by an exhibition truck across the city.

Public Education Roadshow on Personal Data Protection
The public education roadshow will tour around six locations from December 2013 to March 2014 to promote the importance of personal data and privacy protection. It is aimed to enhance public awareness and understanding of individuals’ privacy rights under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and how the recent amendments to the Ordinance impact on everyday life. It provides practical tips for data protection in daily chores such as responding to direct marketing approaches and using smartphones and social networks.

Consumer Roadshows on Protection of Personal Data 2012
To educate the general public about the importance of personal data privacy and to introduce them to the new provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) (Amendment) Ordinance, the PCPD will launch a series of consumer roadshows during November to December 2012 covering six shopping centres and MTR stations in Hong Kong.

Consumer Roadshows on Protection of Personal Data 2011
To educate the general public about the importance of personal data privacy, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data will launch a consumer roadshow during February and March 2011 touring six shopping centres in Hong Kong.
