The Duty Lawyer Service has kindly incorporated brief introduction on the Ordinance into its Tel-Law Scheme, an automatic answering service providing free taped legal information by telephone in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
The Tel-Law Scheme is a fully computerized system and operates 24 hours. The tapes offers brief introduction of many legal subjects. The Duty Lawyer Service reminds you that before you take any action which may have legal consequence, you should first seek advice from your own lawyer or make an appointment at any District Office to see a volunteer lawyer of the Free Legal Advice Scheme. The telephone numbers of the Scheme are 2521 3333 and 25228018. Just dail one of the numbers and follow the instructions to select the required tapes on the Ordinance:
